The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is experiencing exciting economic growth, which requires significant vision and planning to fulfill the rapidly evolving demands of a vibrant and dynamic country. The Jordanian Government has taken significant steps in restructuring the transportation sector in the Kingdom, particularly the civil aviation industry.

AIG is a Jordanian company which has gathered regional investors and international expertise in construction and airport operations, to fulfill its mandate, as granted by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, for the management and redevelopment of Jordan’s premier gateway under a 25-year Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) concession.

Our shared vision is focused on developing QAIA as the airport of choice in the region, building strong global connections for Jordan, and serving as a source of prosperity and pride for all Jordanians.   Through our ongoing improvement programs, we aim to deliver quality services and facilities for all passengers in the existing terminals, while we eagerly await completion of the new state-of-the-art QAIA terminal in spring 2012.

Various elements of our operation are undergoing extensive investment and upgrading; particularly in our commercial zones, where food and beverage, retail shops, banking, newsstands and pharmacy services have provided a remarkable makeover, as we strive to transform QAIA into a world-class facility, rivaling the best airports in the region.

The redevelopment of QAIA is well underway, with a landmark US$750m private-sector investment that will deliver a modern and spacious terminal with cutting-edge design and technologies, securing Jordan’s role as a strong regional competitor in the aviation sector.
